Want to be one, too?

Champions

Here at Neurodiversity Specialists, there’s always a positive energy. Irrespective of who you are in the team, where you’re from, what your specialism, it’s fair to say that you’re celebrated for who you are and what you offer.

Why? Well, basically it’s because Neurodiversity Specialists’ sense of purpose is lived out for real; the company is all about social justice through neuro-inclusive workplaces. And we are good at it.

Where we really excel is supporting individuals and teams to learn strategies. These will enhance their wellbeing at the same time as lifting workplace performance. Anybody who’s been coached by a neurodiversity coach will tell you that their starter goals for coaching usually focus on time management, procrastination/motivation, organisation and memory.

Box

But… as things get unpacked, it almost ALWAYS turns out that what the coachee needs more than anything else are some advocacy skills. One thing I spend a fair bit of time helping the client with is reframing their understanding of neurodiversity.

We also reframe their neurodivergence specifically and do some confidence-boosting activities. I spice it up with challenge, too. They get this through some feedback on my experience of them, which is usually very different from their own self-perception. ‘I’m dumb’, ‘I feel useless’ are very common critical comments they make to themselves.

Eyes

Then the coaching goal often expands on its own and becomes not about self-advocacy but about advocating for reframing neurodiversity, thereby supporting others. Before you know it, neurodivergent clients not only become champions for themselves but for others, too.

  • Do you consider yourself champion at self- advocacy for your neurodivergence?
  • Do you want to use your knowledge and skills to signpost neuro-curious colleagues to relevant sources of information and support at work?
  • Would you like to join a champion community and upskill?

If it’s a yes, yes, yes, then it doesn’t matter where you are on this continuum. Training with us will make sure you level up by equipping you to move yourself and others up the levels.

Be in no doubt: our Neurodiversity Champions programme is going to benefit you, your neurodivergent colleagues and your organisation.

So book in good time and see you on 11th of September.
